HE/HIMJosé is passionate about working with children (ages 4 and up) and adults, and with their families. He approaches hi work through a lens of cultural humility, recognizing and honoring each client’s lived experiences, values, identities, and cultural background while remaining committed to ongoing self-reflection and learning. José views each individual as a whole and collaborate with his clients to develop the most appropriate and culturally responsive treatment plan.
José has experience with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Child-Directed Play, and other mindfulness-based techniques. He specializes in areas including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, stress management, abandonment, self-esteem, PTSD, and ADHD.
