Shane’s Approach

Shane’s counseling style is genuine, personable, and creative, and her personality is warm, inviting, and direct. She aims to help her clients feel heard, seen, and respected. Shane’s work is trauma-informed and holistic and she is grounded in a Person-Centered approach enhanced by complementary, evidence-based therapies including Narrative Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work. In the shared therapy space, Shane works with her clients to tailor-make a treatment plan to empower and support them to navigate complex life challenges.

Shane specializes in working with clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, and Grief. She provides her clients with a safe and supportive environment and works side-by-side with them while they explore the impact of their trauma in their day-to-day life. Through a collaborative process, clients heal and grow by expanding personal awareness and cultivating a more adaptive life narrative that empowers and strengthens their sense of being.

Shane is also a TFMR Mom and had a stillbirth. She is passionate about serving those who have experienced TFMR (Termination for Medical Reasons), stillbirths, and child loss at any point. Shane provides support and tools to help manage the tremendous and isolating grief of this heartbreaking loss. Shane also works as a perinatal therapist supporting mothers through and after pregnancy.
